Background[01]
Portugal's student associations were running on fragmented tools — WhatsApp groups, physical bulletin boards, disconnected ticketing pages — each association reinventing the same basic infrastructure alone. There was no shared foundation any of them could build on, and no consistent way for a student moving between events, services, and academic life to find what they needed in one place.
Challenge[02]
The challenge was building one product that could serve dozens of independent associations without flattening any of them into the same experience. Each union has its own identity, its own community, its own rhythm of events and services — a single rigid app would fail the moment two associations needed different things. It also had to be free for the associations to adopt, since budget was the first wall every previous attempt hit.
Goal[03]
The goal was a white-label mobile app that gave every student union its own branded space, while sharing one connected backbone underneath — ticketing, membership, news, sports, documents, and a digital wallet, all centralized in a single app per association. We bet on giving unions the tools to run their own community, not on building one monolithic platform for all of them at once. Everything — merchandise, member cards, event tickets — had to live inside a single tap.
Results[04]
The app now runs across more than 20 universities in Portugal, reaching over 10,000 students. It closed the gap not just between institutions in the same region, but inside each university — between the student association and the students it serves — by centralizing information, events, initiatives, and services that used to live nowhere in particular. What used to be scattered across group chats and printed posters is now infrastructure students open on their own.
